Elevation Nights Kansas City Concert reviews
The Little ol Band from Tx till rocks! Better, fun
In 1976, beginning my senior year of high school with the Worldwide Texas tour, I've seen Elevation Nights several times over the years. This time, at the Palace in Columbus, OH, the boys rocked, were mostly pretty tight, and sounded really good! They had fun, the audience was responsive, and it was just a good night all around! In recent times, it seemed they just cranked the volume - it sounded garbled/muddied - the boys were going through the motions, and I wasn't all that impressed. The Palace is a cool, venerable old venue, but it still needs more drink lines/service areas. Maybe one upstairs? They played all your favorites (and then some for us old-timers), and ended with two encores! The opening act, the Summit, from Cincinnati, OH, was entertaining and sounded good too as they rocked with a diverse set list. All in all, a great night of good old classic rock, boogie, and fun.
